TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State starting quarterback Jameis Winston will not play for the Seminoles against Clemson on Saturday night. FSU officials made the announcement shortly after 11:00 pm on Friday night.
The official release from Florida State interim President Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox reads, "Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday’s incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night.
Redshirt sophomore Sean Maguire will make his first collegiate start for the Seminoles when they host the Tigers.
