TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Students at Florida State University are hosting a rally Thursday to raise awareness on President Donald Trump's executive order banning immigrants from six Islamic majority countries.

FSU's Students for Justice in Palestine will be marching to the state capitol to join the national effort in showing their disapproval of what some people are calling President Trump's "Muslim ban".

Hiba Rahim, guest speaker for tonight's rally, says Trump's updated executive order taking one of seven countries off the list, is still unacceptable.

"A Muslim ban is exactly what it is," said Rahim. "It's unconstitutional discriminatory against, and it's un-American."

The rally kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at the steps of the capitol building.
