TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some landmarks on Florida State University's campus could soon have new names.

Students shared their input at the last of five town hall forums Tuesday on landmarks on FSU's campus.

The FSU president's Advisory Panel on University Namings and Recognitions  has held a series of meetings, letting the public weigh in on whether the school should rename the controversial B.K. Roberts Hall, Francis Eppes Hall, and the Francis Eppes statue.

The committee was created last August after national attention erupted over Confederate designations in public areas.

The panel was looking to get thoughts and recommendations on what to do moving forward.

"The hope is to create positive change," said Allison Rayburn, a student. "It's not to attack, it's not to blame, but it's to create positive change, especially for those who are negatively impacted by these statues and trying to make an environment where moving closer, one step closer to having a more diverse and tolerant campus."
