TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL)- Members of the Florida State University Dance Marathon will present the Florida State College of Medicine with a $915,000 check.

The money is part of the record $1.85 million students raised earlier this year.

Students packed Donald L. Tucker Civic Center to dance for 40 hours straight, all to raise proceeds for children in the community.

The money given to Florida State College of Medicine will benefit the Gadsden county pediatric outreach program.

That program provides funds for nurses, goes towards school in the area, and provides funds for the NICU at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The other portion of the check will go to the Children's Miracle Network at UF Shands Children's Hospital in Gainesville.
