FSU Students Debut Film on Armed Conflict in Colombia

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Hispanic Graduate Student Association will show a Colombian-Panamanian film Monday night called, "The Colors of the Mountain".

This film is about the armed conflict going on in Colombia, from the perspective of children.

After the film, there will be a panel discussion, where people can talk about their experience in Columbia.

President of the Hispanic Graduate Student Association, Vivianne Asturizaga hoped the film could brings attention to how important diversity is.

Asturizaga said, "We are looking forward to all the conversations that are happening through campus and we hope that this conversation tonight is apart of the many that are going to be about diversity, different ways of thinking and how to make peace with differences and also make peace with war."

The film and panel discussion is taking place at the student life cinema Monday night on FSU's campus at 6:30 p.m.
