TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Quick pick up services like Uber and Lyft help students save a lot of money but now a cheaper option is available for Florida State University students.
FSU Student Beeper is a new student ran transportation service on Facebook.
All you have to do is post in the Facebook group when you are available to drive or if you need a ride.
The price is all ready set depending on if you are riding alone or if you are in a group.
FSU student Knox Sickmon got the idea from a friend at another college, who says that this beeper service is very successful there.
"I feel like it does have the potential to help out a lot more kids, it just has to get the word out there on exactly what it is, how it works, and the fact that everybody can do it," said Sickmon.
He created the Facebook group two days ago and almost 150 people have joined. He hopes it will be successful in helping students save and earn extra cash.
