TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Phi Delta Theta fraternity member has been arrested for selling large amounts of cocaine.
Garrett Marcy, 20, was arrested Monday.
In October, investigators received information that Marcy was selling cocaine at Heritage Grove, a FSU exclusive apartment community.
According to a probable cause document, an undercover officer bought more than 28 grams cocaine from Marcy in October.
As a result of the investigation, Marcy was arrested on Monday and charged with trafficking in cocaine, a first degree felony. He was booked into the Leon County Jail on a $75,000 bond though it is unclear if he remains in jail.
Documents say that Marcy is a current member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
The announcement of his arrest was made on Monday during FSU president John Thrasher's press conference.
The FSU Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life says the decision to suspend all fraternities and sororities at FSU comes follows Marcy's arrest and the death of Andrew Coffey, a pledge at Pi Kappa Phi.
