TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A debate about guns continued at Florida State University's campus.

Strong words from local students were heard in the FSU Balltooms on Tuesday night on one of the country's hottest issues.

FSU's Union Society hosted the debate.

Students discussed whether the Florida House believes the Second Amendment does not include the right to bear assault-style weapons.

Event organizers say they are happy with how many students are speaking up.

Fsu's Union Society puts on student debates like this one regularly. Their goal is to hold two more this year.
