TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) -  FSU's new president is speaking out after Florida State football players, along with the Tallahassee Police Department are being scrutinized, once again, by the New York times.

President John Thrasher sent out an email late yesterday saying he is profoundly disappointed in the New York Times, who suggested Tallahassee Police covered up a car accident involving FSU football players.

Thrasher said qoute, "FSU officials worked for several weeks to provide the New York times reporter with all of the data and information he sought...there was no shifting story from FSU. Thrasher went on to say that there is no evidence to support any of the writer's implications.

New York times issued an article yesterday saying that starting cornerback, PJ Williams was involved in a hit and run after gameday celebrations on October 5th. The times said, the report was taken off the of city's public online database. The article questions Tallahassee Police department on their protocol and handling of FSU football players.
