TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State University's (FSU) Doak Campbell Stadium is getting a facelift before football season kicks off in the fall.

University officials are hoping to add to the game day experience with new video displays along the end zone.

More than 9,000 square feet of LED HD video is being installed at the stadium.

The entire north end zone display will stand at over 78-feet tall.

Officials say that the new construction, along with the Champions Club project, will add to the rich experience one can only have at the stadium on game day.

"You do compete with television at home," says FSU Assistant Athletic Director Jason Dennard. "You got to give people here something they can't get at home. And so, the live event is very good itself, but people want to see replays. People want to be entertained."

They're also adding a new sound system.

The construction of the north display, along with the Champions Club, is expected to be complete before the home opener this September.
