TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Florida State University running back who is facing battery charges, had three puppies chained in his yard to the point where they could not breathe, according to Animal Control Officers.
Dalvin Cook was living in the 400 block of Chapel Drive when the July 31, 2014 incident took place.
Animal Control Officers say they found 3 puppies in chains so heavy, the dogs were unable to move and two of the puppies were choking.
The officers say they removed the chains from the dogs and issued Cook a citation for not providing them a shelter even though it was raining.
Cook turned himself into the Leon County Jail on Friday after being the second FSU football player to be charged with battery this month.
