TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - About 200 students and others attended a candlelight vigil for Andrew Coffey, a florida State University student who was a pledge of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.
The Pi kappa Phi Fraternity's national chapter closed the FSU chapter after his death.
The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding Coffey's death but say it may be alcohol related.
FSU President John Thrasher said Wednesday night it's time to come together and grieve the loss of one of their own.
Thrasher suspended all Greek life activities and placed a restriction on alcohol for the 700 other recognized student organizations.
The university has yet to decide when the ban will be lifted.
Officials say that the ongoing dialogue they're having with students will help clear things up.
