TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Florida State University Police are searching for a man who hit an officer with his car.
The officer was on foot patrol in Heritage Grove, when he saw a college-age man smashing a car with a bat.
According to authorities, after the officer identified himself, the suspect jumped into a waiting car and as he was driving away, hit the officer.
The officer was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, and has been released.
The suspect is described as a white man with brown hair and wearing a gray colored sweatshirt. The getaway car was a four-door black sedan, possibly a late model Volvo or Saab.
