TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - Florida State University Police are investigating the sexual assault of a student.
FSU Police said that around 4am Sunday morning, a female student reported being a victim of sexual battery.
According to officers, she was approached by two males about an hour earlier who said they were looking for a residence hall. She walked with the them to an area between Strozier Library and the business building, where police said she was then sexually assaulted.
One suspect is described as a white male with short brown hair and approximately six feet tall with a thin build. The other suspect is also a white male with a medium build.
Police are actively investigating the incident and offered a few tips to stay safe on or around campus:
- Avoid walking alone at night
- Stay in well lighted areas to avoid being isolated by a criminal
- Always be aware of your surroundings
