TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - New details are being revealed on how police say the events unfolded in the sexual battery case at Florida State University.

Cody Alexander Loveless, 23, of Barwick, was arrested Tuesday on five felony counts of sexual battery, one felony count of burglary with person assaulted, one count of misdemeanor battery, and one misdemeanor count of petit theft.

According to court documents, Loveless met the victim at the bar Potbelly's on Saturday.

Police say they were headed to his home when the victim became "uncomfortable" and told the Uber driver to let her out at her dorm on the campus.

The document alleges that Loveless followed the victim inside, despite her telling him that she didn't want him to. Once inside, the victim told police that Loveless went inside the bathroom in her room.

During this time, the victim began feeling nauseous due to alcohol and began getting sick in the hallway bathroom. When she returned to her room, she found that the door was locked. The victim told police that she had hoped Loveless had left, so she asked housing night staff to unlock her room for her.

Once she was in there, she saw that Loveless was too. The documents said that the victim was soon sick again, entering the bathroom Loveless was in previously and lying on the floor.

While she was sick, Loveless started sexually assaulting her. The victim told police that she tried to push him off, but he immediately started assaulting her again. Loveless then picked her off the floor and walked her to her bed.

The court documents said that Loveless sexually assaulted her multiple times throughout the morning on Saturday.

Around 7:30 a.m., Loveless finally left, but not before taking $20 he gave her the night before as well as another $20 she had in her purse.

The victim's roommate also told police that Loveless was "watching her sleep" and was rubbing her leg while the victim was sick in the bathroom.

Loveless is booked in the Leon County Jail and being held without bond. He has no affiliation with FSU.

The FSUPD is requesting any persons who may have been in contact with Loveless or possibly victimized by him to contact the FSUPD at 850-644-1234.
