TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - At Florida State University some campus landmarks could soon have new names or be gone altogether.
A series of meetings have been held on whether FSU should rename the controversial B.K. Roberts Hall and Francis Eppes Hall and remove the Francis Eppes statue.
The committee was created last august after national attention erupted over confederate designations in public areas.
Some students say having Eppes' statue on campus doesn't mean they support slavery. They want it to stay because it's part of the school's history.
Tuesday's meeting was the last of five town hall forums.
The panel will now take community input into consideration and submit its recommendations to the FSU president and university.
