TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The FSU Marching Chiefs were on campus today, asking for donations. It is part of Giving Tuesday, which asks people to give back after holiday of spending, like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The FSU Student Foundation played the spirit drum Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to help bring in the donations.

All of the money raised will go towards helping the band travel to away football games next season.

Angelo Standriff, Vice President of the FSU Student Foundation says its important for the band to make it to these games, because it helps the fans and the team get ready for their games.

"Its nice to have the marching chiefs show up to all the games you know with the students out there," says Standriff. "Its nice to hear the War Chant in every stadium we go to, home and away."

Donors can also go to the Marching Chief's website and donate to their travel fund, or visit their Facebook page, http://on.fb.me/1rNrWs4
