TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Some 1,000 students visited Florida State University's job fair on Thursday.
This was the first out of 20 career fairs the school will host throughout the year.
It focused on part time jobs, and featured 76 employers throughout the community.
"Our opportunity is to be able to have students gain practical work experience prior to graduation and it's also a way for them to gain income while their still in school some have walked out with a job offer already," said Scott Maynard with FSU's Career Center. "So it's a great opportunity for them."
Sonny's, Patlive, Buckle, Jimmy John's and Splash Car wash were just some of the employers at the event on Thursday.
