TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State University President, John Thrasher, will have to wait another week for his Advisory Panel on "Naming's and Recognition's" to give him a ruling on the removing of recognition's on campus.
Thrasher formed the panel in September to research and offer recommendations regarding whether or not to continue to honor Francis Eppes and B.K. Roberts on campus.
He expected answers before the end of the school year.
The panel met earlier Friday to fine tune the existing guidelines to follow, but did not come to an agreement on the next steps to take.
Students for a Democratic Society voiced their opinions.
"I feel more confident after Friday's meeting that the panel will make the right decision. They seem to be discussing some of the concerns that we had about the legacy of people that they decide to honor," said Katherine Draken.
The panel is meeting Friday, May 4 to present their final recommendations.
