TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State University accepted food and hygiene donations today to send to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
People in the community drove up to the front of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center to drop off donations of food and personal goods today.
The university is coming together to gather supplies to send to those who lost everything due to Hurricane Irma. University President John Thrasher says that the community is what makes Florida such a strong state.
Tomorrow ,student volunteers will take these donated items and turn them into goodie bags before they ship them off to South Florida.
