TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Florida State University's athletic department will net over $865,000 for the Seminole's appearance in the 2015 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

According to university earning reports, the team earned just over $2.5 million in revenue. A little more than $2 million of that came from the ACC for their appearance in the bowl, in which the Noles lost to Houston 38-24 on December 31. The team also earned an additional $175,000 in other revenues.

The team had planned to spend almost $1.8 million for the bowl appearance. In the end, the team only spent just under $1.4 million.

About $745,000 of that went towards meals, lodging and other per diem expenses. $175,000 was absorbed due to either lack of tickets being sold or tickets that were distributed to family and friends of team members, cheerleaders, band members and other staff.

Below are the official numbers from the university:

Revenue: $2,255,000

Expenses: $1,389,423

Total revenue: $865,577
