TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Tuesday is FSU Day at the Florida Capitol; it's an annual celebration of the University's value to Tallahassee and contributions to the state.
The event featured remarks by the University's president John Thrasher, as well as performances by FSU cheerleaders, and members of the flying high circus and Seminole sound.
Several of Florida State's colleges and departments put up displays and information tables throughout the building.
FSU day also honors alum who are currently working at the capitol.

FAMU day will be taking place at the capitol this Thursday.
President Elimira Mangum will not be in attendance, because she will in Washington for congressional meetings.
