TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida State University community is mourning the loss of Burt Reynolds.
The actor played football at Florida State University in the 1950s but injuries ended that career and he turned to acting.

Florida State University is a fan of Burt Reyolds. In his teenage years, he was awarded a scholarship to play football. Reynolds also received the 1956 Florida State Drama Award for one of his performances.
At age 82, the Hollywood star reportedly passed away from a heart attack.
On Thursday, students were sad to hear news of his death.
