TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A blanket business teams up with the Florida State University (FSU) Bookstore to help deliver warmth to the Capital City.

'With a Purpose' delivered blankets to the Kearney Center, which were collected as a part of a new initiative at the bookstore.

Each time a 'With a Purpose' blanket is sold, one is donated to shelters and organizations throughout the community of each university that the blankets represent.

Today they dropped off blankets, not only for the homeless, but also to dozens of the centers' non-profit partners.

"Our founder Josh Helland, he noticed as he worked with homeless shelters and organizations, years ago, he noticed that there was a need for blankets," said With a Purpose Operations Director Nick Bundra. "And so once he saw that, he was inspired by the Toms model, as he understood that if you pair the passion that consumers have for their favorite collegiate teams with doing good in the community, that is was really a model that worked very well."

A total of 640 blankets were donated today.
