TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida State University is demanding a trial by jury and a dismissal.
Florida State is asking for a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a former student paralyzed in the 2014 Strozier Library Shooting.
Farhan "Ronny" Ahmed filed the lawsuit in June against FSU, seeking damages currently in the amount of $15,000 dollars for pain and suffering, disability and medical expenses.
According to the complaint, on Wednesday, FSU denied liability for the incident, while asserting Ahmed's injuries were the result of the shooters actions.
If it can't be dismissed, the university is asking that the case go before a jury.
