TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State officials say that a technical issue in their FSU Alert system caused several emergency messages to be sent in error.
They posted on the FSU Alert Facebook that there is "NO threat to campus safety" and that no action was required.
Apologizing for the confusion, they explained that there was a technical issue that caused the emergency messages to be sent around 10:40 a.m. in error.
They said that there is no emergency and that FSU is taking steps to fix the system.
