TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Big Bend Community Development Corporation, or BBCDC, and Farm Share will be giving free food to families in need every Friday.
The event will be held in the Tish Byrd Community Gardens, which is located at 412 W. Georgia Street in Tallahassee.
The weekly co-op event was created to provide low-to-no income individuals and families with fresh food and produce, within and surrounding the Big Bend area.
Those wishing to participate should bring their own bags to take whatever they can carry.
The Big Bend Community Development Corporation or BBCDC (formerly the Frenchtown CDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts, community events, local musicians and surrounding small businesses, while providing rehabilitation and revitalization services for Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Franklin, Dixie, Madison and Taylor counties.
