FRANKLIN COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A Franklin County High School teacher has been arrested for molestation charges after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct.
Gerald Tate was charged with Lewd or Lascivious Molestation on September 12th, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Police say that during the last week of school in May, Tate sexually molested a child and threatened that there would be consequences if anyone was told about it.
Crime scene technicians found Tate's DNA in the exact location the incident took place, according to deputies.
On September 24th, the police say that Tate was questioned about the allegations. Deputies say he quickly admitted the Molestation allegation was true.
