EASTPOINT, Fla. (WTXL) -- A Franklin County corrections deputy has been charged with two counts of domestic battery after police say he choked his wife and beat a child.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says that Fred Register, 45, was involved in a fight with his wife. Deputies came to his home after a child at the home called 911 on Friday around 10 p.m.
When deputies arrived they found that, Register choked his wife with a belt and beat one of the children at the home.
Register was arrested and booked into the Franklin County Jail.
FCSO says that his photo has not been released because law enforcement officials are exempt from having their booking photo published as public record in Florida.
He has resigned as a corrections deputy with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
