TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- High style and bright faces graced the Goodwood Museum Thursday night.
The fourth annual Back to School Fashion Show featured 13 school-aged foster children available for adoption, dressed to impress with clothing donated by Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend. Kids were paired on the runway with local dignitaries, deputies, firefighters, and other "heroes", in an effort to raise awareness of the need for adoptive parents.
Among those accompanying the child models were local businessman Peter Boulware, Tallahassee mayor-elect Andrew Gillum's wife R. Jai, former NFL and Florida State athlete Corey Simon, and WTXL ABC 27 chief meteorologist Casanova Nurse.
The fashion show benefits Heart Gallery North Florida, a traveling collection of portraits of prospective adoptive children in the Big Bend region.
