WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Wakulla County teacher has pleaded guilty to two charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the state attorneys office, reports of a sexual relationship between Rhonda Shields and a male student were made in February of 2016.

Authorities say they could not find probable cause for a sexual assault arrest because the alleged victim committed suicide before the investigation could take place.

Investigators were able to find evidence that Shields gave alcohol to two minors.

She was sentenced to two years of probation, 30 days in the Wakulla Jail and an additional 30 days of jail work camp.

Shields was a teacher at Riversprings Middle School before she was fired.
