TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A former Tallahassee restaurant owner, who is also designated as a "high risk" sex offender, has been arrested for re-activating his Facebook account.

Stacy Eugene Ethridge, 48, re-activated his Facebook account on Oct. 5, 2017, according to a probable cause affidavit. He is designated as a sex offender in both Florida and Georgia.

As a result, the court revoked his bond on October 11, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Monday, he turned himself in to the Leon County Detention Facility.

According to official documents, Ethridge has been classified as a "high risk" sexual offender.

He had been free on bond after being arrested in April 10, 2017, for failing to update his permanent residency within 48 hours of his change and for failing to register his Facebook account.

A plea hearing has been set for Nov. 15.

Ethridge owned a restaurant in Tallahassee, Zin & Sin, that closed on Jan. 1, 2017, for what he described as financial struggles.
