BAKER, Fla. (WTXL) - A former Florida state senator was killed in a crash near his home in Baker, Florida.
Greg Evers, 62, died in a crash Monday night.
He served in the state legislature for 16 years. He served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2001 to 2010, then in the Florida Senate from 2011 to 2016.
During his time in the Senate, he was part of many gun legislation bills, including revisions to "Stand Your Ground."
