Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--It may be election day but it was all about the ladies over at Florida A&M University on Tuesday.
The University hosted it's Women Empowerment Event Tuesday morning in celebration of Women's History Month.
Former Rattler and Sports Broadcaster Rashaun Ali was one of several panelists. She shared her journey as a mother, media personality and now children's book author as a means of inspiring and empowering women in our community.
"I'm here to hopefully inspire the good folks and young people here to dream big and I know that sounds cliché but I think often times, we put a cap on our dreams. So I'm here to say if God placed it on your heart, How dare you not try?", Rashan Ali.
Women's History Month at FAMU continues next week with another "Tell It on Tuesday" event entitled "Extraordinary Reach".
