TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ( WTXL) - A former electric warehouse manager for the City of Tallahassee is suing the city after being laid off last summer.
According to court documents, Denise Crawford filed a lawsuit on Monday in Leon Circuit Court alleging whistle-blower and other retaliation.
Crawford had been working for the city since 1994 and held several positions, which included Administrative Specialist III.
She claims she is being retaliated against by her former supervisor Leigh Anne Frechette because of her vigilance in reporting wrongdoing and believes she was laid off because of it.
Crawford is suing for damages in excess of $15,000 plus attorneys fees.
