WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a former Robins Air Force Base airman has been given a life sentence in the 2011 shooting death of a man outside a Macon nightclub.

The Telegraph reports that 23-year-old Steven Holsey pleaded guilty to shooting 20-year-old Anthony Harris Jr. in the parking lot of Whiskey River on July 29, 2011.

Holsey was originally arrested by Macon police and charged with murder. His case was later transferred to military jurisdiction. He was sentenced to life in prison and won't be eligible for parole until he has served 40 years.
