Former Adel City Council Member Convicted for Sex Crimes Against Child

COOK COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - A former member of the Adel City Council member has been sentenced on charges that involve child molestation, statutory rape, and enticing a child. 

Lennis Storey, a senior deputy clerk at the Cook County Criminal Court, said that Dextinn Hill was convicted on Monday of the charges.

Hill was also a former member of the Adel City Council. WALB also reports that Hill was also a Cook County school teacher. 

According to the Cook County Criminal Court, he was charged for sexual encounters with a child that happened between 2012 and 2015.

WALB reported that he was convicted on three counts of child molestation and statutory rape, and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes. 

He has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, the first 12 of which will be served in prison followed by sex-offender probation after his release.
