MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department says an alert car dealership stopped a man from buying a car with a stolen identity.
Police say Proctor Honda on West Tennessee Street found out the suspect, Sean Jones, was using someone else's identity to try to buy a vehicle worth $42,000. He was arrested.
Police say most businesses will run your credit for big purchases and that's what Proctor Honda did in this case.
The police department also recommends monitoring your bank account and check for purchases you did not make.
