TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--In this edition of For Your Protection, we sit down with the Tallahassee Police Department's David Northway.

He says fraud is on the rise in the capital city. This includes phone and email scams. He says someone may call asking you dial numbers to fix something on your bank account.

You may also receive emails where you are asked to click on certain links. He says the links may be people trying to get inside your computer and get your personal information.

If you think you're a victim of fraud, contact the police department at (850) 891-4200. You can also click here to learn more from Better Business Bureau.
