TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--The Tallahassee Police Department has some reminders for parents and children using the internet.
Cyber bullying happens when children bully other children through emails, social media, or text messages. The Tallahassee Police Department is asking parents to not allow children to have free access to the internet.
Officers say you should monitor them and have their log-in information to their Facebook accounts as well as the passwords to their phones.
Police say adults should be careful about the information you reveal online especially when you go onto a website that isn't secure. You should not be giving your home address or driver's license number to people you are chatting with in a chat room. That should be a red flag someone is taking advantage of you.
