TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - College football season is here. Florida A&M University and Florida State University both have home games in the next couple of days.
But it's not just fans who are excited.
Local businesses say they love football season and the start of the Downtown Getdown.
They say the increased foot traffic from college students and their families helps with business.
"It brings people from the outskirts of town and brings them to the heart of downtown, and get business driving for everybody," said Steven Brown, General Manager of Andrew's. "We got to get the people to come downtown, get the families out here, get the college students out here, it's going to be a good event tonight."
Downtown businesses say they are excited for football season.
