(RNN) - Some Aunt Jemima brand frozen products - pancakes, waffles and French toast - are being recalled nationwide.
They may be contaminated with listeria, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.
Listeria was found in a plant that makes the products, according to a post Friday on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration site.
Pinnacle Foods is recalling all “Best By” dates of Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes, Frozen Waffles and Frozen French Toast Slices although no illnesses have been reported.
Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems, the post says.
Consumers should not eat the products in the recall and may return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
