TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's now the 25th day of the partial government shutdown, and many federal workers are still going to work despite not receiving a paycheck.
But a group of people in the Captial City are coming together to help those workers during the shutdown.
WTXL's Jada Williams was live Tuesday morning with more on how they're lending a helping hand.
Pastor Gregory James said what he thinks needs to be done.
"We as a community must take whatever little we have, pool it together, and try our best to meet some of the needs," he said. "We may not be able to give them what they would make on a monthly basis or every two weeks, but the fact that we'll be able to say from our hearts, from the community, from the city that cares, 'Here is something to sustain you while you go through this."
