ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Fifth District Court of Appeal has ruled that George Zimmerman's attorney can depose a lawyer for the family of Trayvon Martin.

The court issued the ruling Monday that said Mark O'Mara can "take a limited deposition" of Benjamin Crump to ask him about a key witness for prosecutors.

Crump interviewed the teen known as "Witness 8" shortly after Martin's shooting death in February 2012. Prosecutors say Witness 8 was on the phone with Martin moments before he died.

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson had twice denied O'Mara's request.

Martin was fatally shot by Zimmerman during a confrontation at a gated community in Sanford, an Orlando suburb. Zimmerman is pleading not guilty to second-degree murder, claiming self-defense. His trial is set for June 10.
