LARGO, Fla. (AP) - An 82-year-old St. Petersburg man got prison time after pleading guilty to lewd or lascivious molestation of a 7-year-old girl.
Pasco-Pinellas Circuit Judge Nancy Moate Ley sentenced Robert Frederick Hall to eight years in prison on Tuesday, with credits earned for the eight months he's spent in jail. He was also labeled a sexual predator.
The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/14isx7t ) reports Hall admitted to fondling the girl while she sat on his lap watching television in 2012. The girl "pinky-promised" Hall she wouldn't tell, but eventually she told her parents.
The newspaper reports Hall was arrested on a sexual battery charge in 1980. And there was a reference during Tuesday's hearing to a "Williams rule hearing," which is a procedure used when authorities believe there may be more victims.
