MIAMI (AP) - A 14-year-old boy on a joyride crashed a car into a home in Miami, injuring himself and another woman.
Police told WFOR-TV (http://cbsloc.al/1FOLDou) the boy took his parent's car without their permission Tuesday and lost control of the vehicle. The car plowed into a home in Miami Gardens where a woman and her daughter were watching TV. Witnesses told the station it appeared that the car was speeding.
A woman inside the home was injured by flying debris and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital North. She has since been released. Neighbors helped extract the boy from the vehicle and he was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
Detectives say charges against the driver are pending.
