2 would-be robbers killed in South Florida

MIAMI (AP)-- Authorities say two would-be robbers were fatally shot in separate incidents in South Florida.

Hollywood police say two hooded suspects broke into a gas station Monday night. One of the attackers fired several times at the clerk, who returned fire and killed the gunman. The second suspect drove away, but The Miami Herald ( ) reports that police arrested him a few blocks away. He faces a felony murder charge.

Around the same time, Miami-Dade police say two men broke into an occupied home in North Miami-Dade. One of the intruders was killed after exchanging fire with a man in the house. The accomplice fled and remains at large.
