HAVANA, Cuba (CNN) -- The United States and Cuba are holding rare talks over whether to resume mail service.
For much of the last 60 years, direct mail service between the two countries has been cut off due to Cold War tensions leading to a sense of isolation for many Cubans with relatives in the United States. But, don't expect a thawing of the relationship to take place at least anytime soon. For that to happen U.S. Officials say the Cubans need to release a jailed State Department contractor.
