SARASOTA, Fla. -- The trial of a Sarasota man accused of killing his parents and sister is expected to begin Monday.

61 year old Thomas Moak is facing three counts of Second Degree Murder.  According to prosecutors back in February 2012, Moak killed his elderly parents and sister following an argument at their home at the 4100 block of Tonga Drive in eastern Sarasota County.

Deputies were called to the scene. When they arrived Moak allegedly admitted to the murders.  He also reportedly told deputies he planned to kill himself.

Jury selection will start today in his trial.  Moak's attorney has said he plans to use an insanity defense in the case.
