PALATKA, FL. (WTXL) --- Investigators are on scene of a plane crash that happened in Putnam County in between Jacksonville and Gainesville, said the Florida Highway Patrol.
The privately-owned Cessna airplane crashed into an embankment pond behind Lowes in Palatka just before 11 a.m. Friday.
The 73-year-old pilot Richard Carrara and his passenger, 71-year-old Malcolm Clevenstine were both taken to the hospital in critical condition, said the Florida Highway Patrol.
